How to reverse hair loss using vitamins and collagen

Scientists say that we lose 50 to 100 strands of hair every day. This is perfectly normal, and it shouldn’t worry you. However, as you age, you might notice that your hair is getting thinner or that you are developing bald spots. Hair loss is caused by a variety of factors, one of them being collagen and vitamin deficiency. Supplementing and maintaining a healthy diet will help you regrow your hair. Here is what you will need.

Vitamin C

Also known as ascorbic acid, vitamin C helps in collagen production, and as you already know, collagen is a vital part of hair’s structure. It improves iron absorption in the body, an essential mineral for hair growth, and helps produce antioxidants. Vitamin C also slows down the ageing process of hair.

B Vitamins

These vitamins help create red blood cells, which transport nutrients and oxygen to the scalp and hair follicles. The specific B vitamins recommended for hair growth are B3, B5 and B7. Vitamin B3 helps maintain the structure of red blood cells and helps increase blood flow to the scalp. B5, or Pantothenic acid, supports hair growth by protecting the adrenal glands, which produce hormones for hair growth. It also works in conjunction with other nutrients to rebuild individual hair shafts that have been damaged by heat, sun exposure, and shampoos.

Collagen

Being the most abundant protein in the body, it is no surprise that collagen plays a huge role in hair growth. As we age, collagen production naturally slows down, and its breakdown is accelerated, therefore causing hair loss. To reverse hair loss, you will need to increase your collagen levels by using supplements.

Collagen supports hair growth by regenerating follicles. Its antioxidant properties protect your hair from the effects of free radicals and prevent further damage. Marine collagen contains 8 out of 9 amino acids used by hair follicles to produce keratin. Keratin strengthens hair from the roots, ensuring the growth of healthy hair.

Kollo premium liquid collagen contains marine collagen peptides, vitamin C, and a blend of B vitamins. This unique formula allows you to get all the nutrients you need to grow healthy hair in one go.
