What is Jenni Falconer doing now?
Jenni Falconer’s big break into television was as a contestant on the show Blind Date before presenting The Big Country in 1995. Since then, she’s barely left our screens! You may be most familiar with seeing Jenni on ITV’s This Morning as a travel reporter, or you might be a keen listener of her show on Smooth Radio which she hosts following her switch from Heart FM. There’s no question about it, Jenni has made the media her playground, and her popularity has been affirmed time and time again. Aside from keeping up with her golf, running, and enjoying family life (she has been having fun making TikToks with her daughter over the lockdown period), she has been dabbling in a few new (and very exciting!) ventures.
Breaking into business - Kollo
Jenni decided that although she loved presenting, she wanted to see what was there for her in the business world. Like everything else she’s put her mind to, she’s nailed it. Jenni is the co-founder of Kollo, her liquid collagen supplement business which launched in April 2020 and has seen soaring sales since. There’s no question as to why – the success of Kollo lies in the brand’s focus on high quality ingredients, of which the benefits are absolute. Kollo contains only premium marine collagen, which has performed excellently in clinical studies.
Jenni has brought her personal values to her business venture, something that is rarely seen in today’s world of competitive markets. This means that she’s doing everything she can to make Kollo a truly sustainable product. For example, Kollo uses 100% recyclable boxes, compostable parcel bags and inserts, you can send back your sachets to be recycled, and the team is constantly working on ways to improve their eco-friendly standing. This is on top of the fact that Kollo’s key ingredient – marine collagen peptides, is made using scales and skins that would otherwise be discarded and are sourced from not just a sustainable, but a secure and traceable supply chain.
Kollo was born out of Jenni’s personal experience with trying to find the best beauty and collagen products. Instead of settling for something less than optimal, when Jenni couldn’t find what she wanted out of a product, she decided to create her own. As a structural protein, Collagen helps to repair tissues and is a crucial building block in bones, cartilage, muscles, skin, and blood. All of this equals the recipe for skin perfection, as collagen replenishes dull, dry, and lifeless skin that has lost its vitality and is so often experienced with age.
Kollo combines 10g of type 1 marine collagen peptides with vitamins B1, B5, B6, and B12, as well as vitamin C. As the sachets are in liquid form, the collagen is bioavailable, allowing for quicker absorption into the body. What’s more, Kollo contains l-lysine which actually promotes collagen growth from within as well as contributing to the maintenance of a healthy immune system. Did we mention Kollo also tastes great? The sachets have a lovely tropical flavour, so if your taste buds are fussy – no need to worry.
Apart from Kollo, Jenni has also launched RunPod, where she chats to her running heroes (she recently spoke to the marathon-running icon Paula Radcliffe) about tips, tricks, and their experience with her favourite sport. If you’re also a running fan, tune in through your go-to podcast hosting platform, or listen here. Really, is there anything this woman can’t do?
